From the work holding, to the dressing of grind wheels, to the sharpening of the tool, and to the edge preparation, precision is the foundation upon which we build.

Work Holding: The performance of your solid carbide tools is highly affected by how precisely the tool is held during regrinding. At Performedge, we make sure that your tools are clean and free from debris before they are loaded into the machine. Then we hold them with precision hydraulic chucks which minimize any runout.

Wheel Dressing: At Performedge, we dress and measure our diamond grinding wheels on the machine. This is by far the most precise method, because it eliminates measuring error and runout problems. The results are more accurate grinds and smoother surface finishes.

5-Axis CNC Grinding: The Schneeberger Gemini is the workhorse of our precision grinding operations. We chose this machine after years of experience with Schneeberger and other well known brands. This machine is fully capable for all major drill point geometries, step drill configurations, endmills, reamers, and profile ground tools. And it's efficient! Cutoff operations are integrated into each program eliminating the extra time and equipment needed for badly worn tools. And that's why we don't charge extra for rebuilds or cutoff operations!
